SST 10 PBIS Tier 2 Implementation
Tier II Interventions are designed for students who demonstrate persistent problem behavior in classroom settings, but not dangerous or violent behaviors. These are students who do not respond well to school-wide behavioral expectations, but require additional supports to Tier 1 to be successful. They are not students with chronic behavior problems who require comprehensive individualized interventions. Tier 2 interventions are only effective when schools have a strong foundation of Universal (Tier 1) PBIS. This includes all students being taught school-wide rules and expectations, and teachers having proactive classroom management procedures in place.
