Ranking does matter. Period. If you can afford it, go to the best. Just like you choose the best hotel brand to work in, choose the best colleges as per your budget. With hundreds of colleges to choose from you can get confused. How do you rank the colleges? A college may be the best in Hotel management but just average in Culinary Arts, so the ranking would not be favorable for an aspiring chef.
