Burnout Toolkit
Job burnout, caused by prolonged stress in the workplace, is an ongoing and costly problem that affects thousands of Americans on a daily basis. It is especially prevalent among teachers. Although most have heard the term "burnout", many are not familiar with how it manifests and affects the mind and body. In addition, institutions and employers do not always adequately address the issue. This toolkit gives a brief overview of the symptoms, consequences, coping strategies and solutions related to burnout, particularly within education, in order to raise awareness and actively prevent it. Self-tests are also included to determine individual risk for burnout.
