The Articles of Confederation and the United States Constitution
Following the American Revolution, the United States struggles to stay united. Due to the weaknesses of the Articles of Confederation, the nation was on the verge of falling apart during a time period known as the Critical Period. Thankfully, our nation's Founding Fathers met in Philadelphia to write a new plan of government for our nation known as the U.S. Constitution. The U.S. Constitution solved the nations problems, united the country, and is still used today as our plan of government.
