EDF 204 Emerging Technologies Fall 2016
My name is Alissa Young. I'm from a small town in Eastern Kentucky, but my dreams of teaching were inspired by my own parents who are still in the education field themselves. I longed to be in a classroom where the students enjoyed and facilitated a large part of their own learning and in a world with so many technological advances, the way to achieve this goal environment is by utilizing the many technologies explored in this class.
In my own experiences with learning, I always functioned better when the information I needed was organized and easily accessed, so in my classroom, useful information will be easily seen and accessed by all students in order to render more growth among the class. Participation will be gauged by both myself and the student in order to assess physical and mental presence. The curriculum will be flexible to the individual but uniform in material. I believe it���s my responsibility as a teacher to facilitate learning while the students direct themselves and each other. Many of the following technologies will play a large part in helping me fulfill my responsibility to the students of this generation.
In taking this course, I have learned that everyone can use technology training. The importance of keeping the delivery of content relevant to the students background will play a large part in my success as a professional educator. Not only this, but my effectiveness is greatly improved when taking the time to develop methods of differentiation through the technology readily available to me.
