Tech Trek
This Tech Trek LibGuide is designed as a guide for teachers to use to at the beginning of the school year while introducing students in grades 3-5 to district issued 1:1 device. While this is a guide for teachers, it is geared for students to not only learn about the school and district BCSD Connect to Learn, the current mobile device agreement, but also the basic laptop features, internet safety, computer first aid, how to be responsible for the district issued device, how to save files, Google Classroom, and Google Drive.
The purpose of this LibGuide is to provide resources for both elementary classroom teachers and students during the beginning of the year 1:1 device roll out. The resources provide step by step information and provide an opportunity for students to interact, ask questions, reinforce digital citizenship expectations, and get to know the device. This LibGuide also provides the assurance that all students receive the same instruction across grade levels.
