STEM Lessons in the Library
In order to prepare our students for future careers, we need to guide them in finding solutions to real world problems. The STEM program in the library will use literature based lessons in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math based on the Georgia Standards of Excellence as well as ISTE standards and AASL Standards for the 21st Century Learner. Along with research to support the use of STEM activities in the media center, this binder includes many resources. Teachers can use this binder to choose a collaborative lesson with the media specialist and schedule a STEM visit to the media center. There is also a tab available to help classroom teachers investigate and plan their own STEM activities for the classroom.
