CMU DPT Portfolio
This is an educational portfolio of my Doctorate of Physical Therapy education at Central Michigan University. It describes my academics, as well as extracurricular activities throughout my time as a DPT student at CMU. My first year in this program went well, but there was room for improvement. My goals were partially met by becoming active in organizations, the community, and excelling in my classes. Grades for the first year were not as good as I wanted them to be, however, by employing a new plan to keep me on track, accountable, and efficient within my studies I was able to make proficient changes, as shown by improvement in grades during the 2nd year. My final year was spent on clinical rotations, in which I believe displayed the most growth both as an individual and a future clinician. I have developed the capability of staying optimistic and confident by self-reflecting and continuing to set new goals for myself and always striving to be a better version of myself. In addition, I have a high commitment to learning, social responsibility, and professionalism that continues to develop as my career moves forward. In the main six tabs of this portfolio, you will find the following sections, each with a description of my strengths, weaknesses, and ways to improve: professionalism, clinical skills, academics, evidence based practice, commitment to learning, and social responsibility. In addition, you will find a subgroup in each of these headings containing artifacts from my 1st, 2nd and 3rd years as a DPT student.
