Differentiation and Technology Portfolio
Kathryn Velencia's collection of differentiated models and lesson plans using technology. The unit plan in this portfolio is a seventh grade Mental Health Unit. The students are focusing on body image, self esteem, depression, eating disorders, and the effects of bullying. This is a very important unit because in middle school students are constantly facing change, and that can have a negative impact on students mental health. The lessons in this unit focus on students reflecting on their personal well being, and using those reflections to create projects that advocate for creating a safe community and a positive self image.
