Evaluating News Stories and Sources
Students will learn to evaluate a writer's argument and specific claims by evaluating the soundness of the reasoning and the relevance and sufficiency of the evidence. Students will also be able to identify when irrelevant evidence is introduced in the news. Students will learn the difference between fake news and real news. This lesson is intended for a Grade 10 ELA class in the state of Ohio.
