Special Education Resource Notebook
This binder is created as a resource for beginning my teaching career in special education. My goal is to have resources that will help me in working with parents and other professionals in the process of educating students with exceptionalities. I do not have a specific area of interest because generally I enjoy working with all children. Although I have a special way of being able to explain difficult things in simpler terms, I do not want to limit the resources that will be beneficial in beginning my teaching career.
Because I am not a traditional college student, I am married, raising our own children, and already established in the Mahomet, IL community. Our house is located between five different districts, I plan to look for work in the Mahomet, Blue Ridge, or Fisher school districts. The ages I enjoy working with most is late elementary school level which includes grades 3rd-5th. If a job opens in a lower grade level, or higher grade level, I would still remain open minded in accepting work in those areas.
