Hello! My name is Vaughn Hayes and I am currently enrolled in the Master's of Sciences in Nutrition and Dietetics at King's College. A little about me is that I am from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and have been obsessed with the sciences for as long as I can remember! I had diagrams of the human body skeletal system that I would try to review being just eight years old and my favorite book growing up was 1000 questions and why! I just loved knowing anything I could about science. For my undergraduate, I majored in General Sciences- Emphasis in Biology and graduated in 3 and a half years, in comparison to the typical 4 year degree! I am also a first generation college student! I began my undergraduate degree at King's College as a Nursing major, but soon found out, as interesting as it was, I could not see myself being a nurse. I will never forget during my nursing simulation, our proctor asked us questions about a patient and I kept giving nutritional answers. My proctor stopped what he was doing and said, "You are going to work in Nutrition someday", and it has stuck! Nutrition is very important to me as it is unavoidable. It is our everyday life and every decision we make with it matters. I hope you enjoy the works I have done while in the Masters of Nutrition Program at King's College!
