Training Toah

Toah was a year-old rescue dog picked up by the humane society as a stray.

He is a Corgi/Pit Bull cross and was desperately afraid of people - especially anyone wearing black.  Since I have always had easy-going dogs, he has been a real challenge. This binder is the collection of resources that I have been using to train him.  Please see the subtabs above for good basic info and more pictures of Toah.

Update 1-4-09: Toah has made great progress in the last year.  He is still not completely friendly with people that he doesn't know, but he is no longer terrified.  He took very well to training and is extremely well-behaved.

Mogens Eliasen has some of the most insightful articles on dogs and dog breeds that I have ever read.  He talks about agreesive breeds (like mine) with a compelte understanding of why they are different and the responsibility involved in owning these breeds.  His newsletter is well worth the free subscription!
